Johnson City, Tennessee is located in eastern Tennessee, northeast of Knoxville near the Cherokee National Forest. Within a short drive from the city, you can be near the Nolichucky River or Cherokee Lake which is perfect for whitewater rafting, boating, swimming, fishing, hiking and biking. In the winter, you can also drive a short distance be near the North Carolina ski areas and enjoy skiing and snow boarding.

In Asheville, you can enjoy the many scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the very popular and always stunning Biltmore House. Also, just north of Asheville is Mt.
